It is just one, 2 ton unit. It was being installed and when I got home from work last night they had the outside work done then that is how I discovered it’s sooooo big and started getting concerned. ANSWER:If I recall, a 1 1/2 should do a 1000 sq ft home, depending where your are located. I would think the 2 ton is not a rip off, for 1200 sqf. It is better to have a little bigger unit, working efficiently, than a small unit being over worked.
